“Since this is such a creative city, I assigned the loft to be a creative space or if you want to entertain there is enough floor seating to accommodate up to 12 people comfortably,” says interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn.
The loft area in this newly renovated shotgun home was created to be an office and second living room space. It features custom made suitcase shelving, new wood flooring and custom wall art, as seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper.
To complement the modern design of this Chelsea penthouse, designers brought in modern, high-end furniture. Then, they set up two separate seating areas-one for lounging and one for entertaining-facing a custom wood millwork and stone feature wall.
In the dining area of this Atlanta Beltline loft apartment, a contemporary dining table and dining chairs provide seating for four. To define the space, a black and white woven rug rests underneath the table, while a contemporary light fixture adds continuity with the rest of the apartment.
Just off the dining area, designers created a masculine, contemporary living room in this loft apartment. With two leather chairs providing luxurious seating in front of a large screen TV, this is the perfect living room space to catch a game and enjoy time with friends, and with the connectedness of the loft spaces, the party can continue throughout the home without making anyone feel excluded, extending the entertaining space of this loft apartment.
In the kitchen, gray cabinets and a gray granite give the space an elegant kitchen space. Stainless steel appliances make the room look clean and polished, while pendant lights illuminate the space. The bar seating provides casual seating for the apartment, and with its close proximity to the formal dining area, extends the entertaining space of this apartment.
The transitional living room opens to the loft's playroom. A tan sofa and blue-patterned ottoman anchor the seating area, while the muted blue rug adds warmth and texture to the room. Matching leather stools add extra seating while providing a visual transition between the living room and play area.
This cozy sitting area evokes a loft-like feeling. A loveseat serves as the primary seating, with an upholstered ottoman serving double duty as extra seating and a coffee table. Throw pillows add extra color and pattern to the room.
