A dramatic change in the Rao home. With the back wall gone that separated the hallway and entrance from the living room, the room feels twice the size. Additional light flows in from the doorway entrance and the new open staircase. Added lighting on the ceiling and newly repaired windows fill this room with light and warmth. New furniture and flowers make the room feel comfortable, inviting, and warm. As seen on HGTV's Cousins On Call.
A bold, dark ceiling contrasts with the bright white walls in this inviting basement. The large, brightly lit space leaves plenty of room for play at the foosball table, as seen on HGTV's Cousins Undercover.
Light is a big part of the design of the master bathroom as well. With large windows along the rear wall, a lit ceiling and a lighted mirror, this space is a great place for the couple to get ready for their day.
The dramatic entry sweeps up the spiral staircase with a vortex beginning at an antique finial in the foyer. The domed ceiling is made of hand-applied fish scales lit by a midcentury modern chandelier found in Paris. The iron stair railings add Mediterranean character to the design.
Broad floor-to-ceiling windows fill the room with natural light, keeping this family-friendly space well lit from morning to night. Two contemporary armchairs below invite the owners and their kids to curl up with a good book.
Light and dark green tiles coat the walls of the large, open shower. White floor tile joins the white walls and ceiling for a light look to the design. A round mirror mounted above the sink is equipped with a light ring for convenient vanity lighting.
Green backlighting shines through an organized bottle display creating an eye catching accent wall in this spacious dining room. Wood tables and matching chairs with wicker seat cushions fill the room. A large modern light fixture and track lighting brighten the room and add decor to the ceiling.
This spacious kitchen is beautifully lit highlighting the neutral subway tile wall with three decorative stripes, large neutral island with brown leather barstools and attractive wood details from the exposed ceiling beams to the smooth hardwood flooring. The warm, timeless look is highlighted with a distressed range hood and a trio of iron pendant lights.
In this brilliantly lit sunroom, a large dining table is centrally located instead of typical sunroom furniture. A multitude of windows and a rustic brick floor gives the dining room an alfresco vibe, bringing the outdoors in. Exposed ceiling beams complement the neutral room's woodwork and moldings.

What girl wouldn't love a luxury dressing room to call her own? Well, this girl now has one. To achieve this lovely little getaway, she had a second story patio enclosed and the unused space transformed into a luxe dressing room. There were only two walls in the space, so that's where the floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobes were installed for all of the homeowner's clothes. These wardrobes are all lit and lined with wallpaper, so that each and every garment and accessory is showcased and easily accessible. White Roman shades were added to this space to provide chic privacy for the homeowner.
