The small but dramatic dining room is decked out in British Colonial style from the heavy wood dining furniture to the lattice-inspired buffet. Gleaming wood surfaces, mirrored details and decorative gold accents dress up the space.
The front porch of Rollins' bedroom wing features tailored console skirts in the theme of white and dark navy and the accompanying mirrors with a lattice frame complement the lattice motif in the rest of the garden. Rollins points out that the color she has chosen for her home's shutters is purposeful. "You can't tell if it's black or navy. It's a little softer than black," but the color offers stunning contrast to the home's painted white brick.
This traditional living room exudes luxury with an ornate floral-themed crystal chandelier beneath a lattice ceiling detail and a large gold-framed mirror above the fireplace that visually expands the space. The sitting area is perfectly arranged for an easy conversation by the fire or listening to someone perform a piano piece.
Designer Katie Ridder's eclectic "zam zam room" is filled with a collection of items she found with her husband on their various trips together. An Indian fabric panel found in Paris frames the door and sets the stage for the red, blue and yellow palette captured in the Moroccan rug. The fireplace was first mirrored and then layered with Moroccan mosharabi lattice panels.
Creating pattern and texture was the goal for this entire home design, and every room has special details to add depth and movement to the space. Custom lattice woodwork is used to create a feature wall in the foyer and living room. A large floor-length mirror visually expands the space, while streamlined furniture surrounds a gold coffee table for a comfortable seating area.
