The dining room in this cozy lake house seats six and has a beautiful view of the lake through the space's windows and French Doors. The arrangement of this space allows the homeowners to comfortably entertain guests as well as enjoy a relaxing dinner with a direct lake view.
The exterior of the lake house offers plenty of visual interest with varied rooflines and an attractive stone construction. The staircase on the side was originally intended to come down from the back deck, but designers moved it to keep sightlines open out to the lake.
With all the windows in the home's rear facade plenty of natural light gets in during the day, while also allowing the homeowners to have a beautiful view of the lake. At night, the windows allow the home's artificial light ouside, giving it a glowing, elegant appearance
An existing concrete pier was used to hold up a new Ipe wood terrace providing dramatic views of Lake Champlain.
Before, the pier held up a spiral staircase that lead down to the shore. The new owners wanted a more gradual path to the shore, so the pier was repurposed into an overlook.
The homeowners' eclectic style is reflected in this bathroom with the combination of Venetian plaster walls and subway tile. Decorative leaded windows in the shape of a spiderweb help to tie the space to the spiderweb motif throughout the home. The lake house's original vanity and mirror were restored and bring in floral detailing that complements the details found on the bedroom cabinetry, truly tying together all the home's spaces.
