Each of these furnishings was designed by Addison Bruley to compliment this contemporary Hollywood Hills property. It was important to have products that would stand out and be something unique as well as functional.
Walls between the kitchen and hallway and the kitchen and dining room were removed, the range was moved and an island was added for family meals. “This family of four was thrilled to have their kitchen open out to the dining area with a large peninsula,” designer Anjie Cho reports.
Darker cabinetry is striking against the pale wood floors in this contemporary kitchen and dining space. A papered accent wall draws the eye to the dining table, which offers a variety of seating options. The long kitchen island adds space for more guests to perch for dining or chatting with the cook.
A cheery blue paint adds life to a kitchen lacking natural light. Translucent cabinets line the kitchen area of the room creating visual depth, while a glass dining table sits neatly in the corner of the dining area.
A mix of designs has created a unique cooking and dining experience in this kitchen. Modern, traditional and rustic elements come together around the dining table, and a nearby chef-worthy kitchen is covered in luxury marble and dazzling finishes.
On the lower ground floor, windows fill the open kitchen with natural light and give the owners a peek into the garden. Crown molding and a white-painted fireplace help the dining space feel just as charming.
