A home office with an industrial style desk is anchored by an animal hide rug. An over-sized bulletin board with cork tiles is bordered with personal photographs. Multiple low-hanging ceiling lights and a large window provides ample lighting. The polka dot wallpaper and unique accessories make it the perfect space for creative inspiration.
A huge arched mirror mimics a window and makes this dramatic foyer feel even bigger. The floors are chevron-cut porcelain; their look is polished, but they're also easy to clean, a win win in a home with kids.
The former family room was dark and bland. Now, the room has fresh white paneling that bounces sunlight around the space and glass doors that fold up, accordion style, to join the interior with spacious outdoor areas.
In the bedroom of a beach house on the Indian Ocean, designer Nelly Reffret took a creative approach to the project’s extremely tight budget. She says: “I searched for bargains and only selected items that I knew would work perfectly in the space. The headboard is a discontinued Ikea style, which I painted in a sandy color. I found the suitcases on the curb during trash collection (you know that saying about someone's trash being someone's treasure...).” When combining a variety of furniture styles, she advises allowing size and scale to guide your choices. “Before starting to decide on a look, it's important to check what will fit in the space: width and depth matter. Scale is another important factor. Too many large pieces and the room will look cluttered; too many small pieces, and there will be no sense of cohesion, no sense of ‘grounding’. Having one item of large scale next to smaller items can create an interesting focal point to the room, just like the headboard does in this bedroom.”
Two cushioned chairs provide comfortable seating on this transitional patio, which features a fire pit for chilly nights. A stylish zebra hide rug grounds the outdoor seating area with personality and pizzazz.
Mixed styles create a wonderful result: The midcentury modern angles of the room; the lofty, coastal-style, plank-and-beam ceilings; a craftsman-style cabinet and an animal hide rug reflect the homeowner's unique style and personality. This hall leads to a lovely outdoor seating area -- It would be hard to decide whether to stay inside or out!
Rectangular holes in the wood headboard create a pattern on the white wall in this modern bedroom setup. A thick layer of pillows gives the short bed a sofa-like look to it, with green velvet pillows adding an accent color to the white and brown tones. An animal hide rug adds a little texture to the smooth hardwood floor.
A contemporary gray sofa and modern leather and wood armchair combine to create a lively eclectic sitting space for this office. A futuristic c-shaped side table works with a transitional floor lamp, tree stump side table and assorted textured throw pillows bringing understated surprise, whimsy and style. The green accent wall brightens the space while balancing the copper tones of the animal hide area rug.
There's a lot going on in this living space -- a lot of amazing decor and style! The main attraction is the large, carved wooden mirror facing the sofa. It works to reflect even more of the incredible light in the room. A comfy, beachy sofa is loaded with pillows, perfect for lounging or sinking in for long conversations over coffee. Plants bring the outside in, livening up an already bright and light space.
Tall wooden ceilings create a spacious feel in this neutral, rustic living room. A stone fireplace surround extends from floor to ceiling adding a nice rough texture to the space. A chandelier counters offering a delicate touch. The animal hide rug is perfect for the design style, and a pair of Victorian armchairs add an interesting pattern.
This sleek home office features a bright orange accent wall and trendy animal-hide rug. A streamlined black sofa provides seating for clients, while a high window allows natural light to flow through the space.

There's a beautiful masculine influence in the design of this living room.
