A grand curved chandelier is the centerpiece of this ultra-contemporary space where dressing room meets bathroom. The light fixture hangs over a modern gray piece that's a dresser on one side and a vanity sink on the other. Sliding mirrored doors open to reveal a spacious walk-in closet.
To bring the Moroccan inspired decor to the couple's four seasons porch, designers blended rich fabrics and textures. The ceilings are covered in a rich, stained wood that complements the other furniture in the space. Thick cushions add a luxurious, Moroccan feel to the space, while bold, blue accent pillows bring warmth into the space. In the rear of the room, a small, distressed hookah bar adds character and charm to the design while complementing the blue and cream patterned light fixture hanging from the ceiling. To complete the design, light, airy curtains adorn the windows tying the space together.
The high ceiling and connected rooms bring an open feel to this contemporary living room. A large wire light fixture hangs low at the piano to divide the living room and office area. A navy blue sofa adds color against the neutral walls and floor and long gray curtains. A short natural wooden coffee table sits on the gray area rug.
The handmade bedspread brings a soft pattern and texture to this bedroom. A unique rock light fixture hangs above the bed, which is decorated with a wood breakfast tray and patterned throw pillows. A wood chair with a hot pink pillow adds a bright pop of color against the neutral and white tones. Fresh flowers and sheer curtains complete the look.
A corner window seat with plenty of pillows is the perfect solution to fitting as many people as possible into this small dining space. Designers thoughtfully hid outlets and USB ports along the window seat so devices always have a convenient place to charge up. The massive custom dining table with steel base easily accomodates the family for meals or just hanging out. The ceiling is clad with shiplap to help play up the coastal feel, and a modern brass light fixture is the perfect finishing touch.
This beautiful walnut and maple dining table doubles as a regulation-sized ping-pong table making it perfect for entertaining before, during and after a meal. Contemporary end chairs add a change to the matching chairs lining the sides of the table. A modern starburst light fixture hangs from the coffered ceiling to add an artistic touch to the room.
There’s nothing like a chandelier to create an elegant dining atmosphere. But wiring for an outdoor fixture can be complicated, and wet-rated styles are somewhat limited. One solution is to hang a candle chandelier from the beams of a pergola or covered patio, as designer Howard Roberts did here. Use battery-operated LED “candles” for easy operation. Add string lights radiating from the chandelier’s mounting to create a magical canopy of light above diners' heads.
A large, decorative backsplash covers the wall space beside the side by side ovens and stainless steel range hood. The tile pattern blends with black and white kitchen island with the room. Built in white cabinets circle the room creating ample storage to keep the counter space clear. A unique silver fixture hangs above the island and shines in the light of the room.
The entry to this quaint Jamestown, Rhode Island, cottage is both charming and functional, with a built-in bench that's perfect for stopping to put on or take off shoes. Nautical-style light fixtures hang from the peaked, beamed ceiling. Copious white-painted woodwork fits with the bungalow's East Coast cottage style, giving the home a sense of place from the moment a visitor steps inside.
You would never know that this fabulous walk-in closet was created from an outdoor storage room. An exterior door and window were closed and removed to allow space for custom built-in shelving, providing ample room for clothing, shoes and jewelry. The light from the sparkling hanging fixture bounces off a shimmery petal pink ceiling, while glass shoe shelves mounted in front of pink damask wallpaper provide a beautiful focal point. This contemporary, West Coast residence has a beautiful open design and modern decor. A short glass wall provides a balcony overlook from the second floor to the first where a long light fixture hangs as a decorative eye-catcher. The second story features a living room area with gray leather sofa, an eclipse door leading to an outdoor patio and a dining area in front of a built in fireplace.
As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, this once cramped and dated kitchen and dining area was transformed into a chic, mid-century style space. Designer Sarah Richardson upcycled thrift store chairs by dipping the legs in chrome and reupholstering the seats. Keeping with the vintage theme, Sarah installed mid-century modern light fixtures and added bright pops of color throughout the neutral space. The owner's original artwork hangs above a custom banquette to complete the look.

The fantasy continues in the dining room. While the white walls and hardwood floors may be standard, even typical for a Brooklyn brownstone, what happens between them is anything but. In this room a surrealist light fixture designed by Paul hangs low over a thoroughly modern set of dining chairs. For a contrast from the metal furnishings, a vintage Norman Cherner armchair captains the table. On the floor, a hand-painted rug brings a big splash of color to the space which is presided over by even more fantastic sculptures of creatures, seashells and plants.
This family of five got the contemporary kitchen masterpiece they were looking for. The blond oak floors and the dark cabinets compliment each other and give the clean lines of the contemporary style the family was looking for. The white Thassos countertops that were installed continue the trend of stylish, sleek lines, while also being durable enough to handle the daily preparation of large meals. The stainless steel appliances add a sophisticated look to the space, but because they are Viking appliances, they give the family the state of the art technology and luxury they were in the market for. To complete this sleek, elegant space, the family added contemporary crystal light fixtures to hang above the extra large kitchen island and the wine storage in the corner of the kitchen to give their space the touch of luxury the family dreamed of.
