Natural light floods this beautiful modern space showcasing the smooth, appealing finishes of this bathroom vanity. Atop one half of the sleek, white cabinetry is a white vessel sink with a stainless steel faucet. The other half is topped with a raised dark wooden layer adding a gorgeous contrast to the light room and matching the mirror frame.
To give a family in Santa Monica, California, the multipurpose guest house/screening lounge they’d dreamed of, the design team at Spazio LA turned to an unexpected place: the four-car garage. "We converted half of the space while leaving the other half as a two-car garage," said the designers. "The space now includes a full screening room, a bar-kitchenette, a full bathroom and a Murphy bed for overnight guests."
A wood-paneled wall with a natural finish is the anchor behind the master bedroom's bed. It's a striking way to break up the large space and help the bedroom part feel more intimate. The master bathroom is located in the room's back half.
A double-wide, glass-enclosed shower designed by Drew and Jonathan Scott of Buying and Selling is the centerpiece of this simple yet elegant bathroom. Large cream-colored tile on the lower half of the shower contrasts against the small glass tiles used on the floor and top of the shower. The clean, reflective surfaces of the tile make the entire bathroom brighter.
The bedroom utilizes the angled roof line to frame the moveable and convertible bed and is accented by bold blues and gray colors. The bed can be place at the headboard/couch or placed in front of the window for a beautiful lake view. After the master suite renovation by licensed contractor Chip Wade, the Van Hattum's now have a beautiful master suite and bathroom which combines their love for the old world style and modern conveniences in Atlanta, Georgia. Before the renovation, the previous homeowners left a half-finished suite, an angled roofline and lots of unused space, as seen on HGTV's Elbow Room. (after)
