The laundry room also includes a utility sink for hand-washing delicate clothing items, antique black quartz counters, and high-gloss deep-slate-gray cabinets and drawers that offer storage for laundry essentials. The lacquered-looking cabinets add modern sophistication to this utilitarian space.
To give the lower cabinets that perfectly imperfect look, the designer started with a coat of light gray paint and then added one coat of this gorgeous green. After the green had dried, a light wash of gray was applied and then sanded and wiped off.
The front load washing machine and dryer are perfect for concealing within a fitted cabinet space. Cabinet doors blend the machines into the built in storage around them topped with light gray granite countertop. A sink and additional work space allow the space to be a multipurpose area.

A large center island creates an instant gathering spot for the whole family. The open floor plan kitchen used two colors to divide the space visually. All-white cabinets, countertops and a subway tile backsplash are used in the prep and dish-washing area, while dark gray cabinets, countertops and a granite backsplash make up the cooking area.
Haddad Hakansson designed this small kitchen employing a neutral color palette, integrated appliances and sleek cabinetry to amplify space and to allow the Boston view to become a prominent feature. In this photo, a glass cooktop and a small range hood were set amid the kitchen cabinetry, with small mosaic tile providing a continuous effect. The cabinets are rift frameless oak with a gray wash.
