Light blue walls in this transitional kitchen nook feel fresh while the gray pendant and seating add a midcentury touch to this inviting space. Brightly colored artwork adds a pop of color and keeps the space feeling young and alive.
The bedroom is all about the mix. The mix of fresh patterns and colorful textiles create a cozy, comfortable and beautiful place to sit back and relax. A headboard was installed using left-over yardage from a project. The close-knit chevron pattern creates an unexpected headboard for the bed. The black and white pattern is a complement to the black and white knit pillow that Kelley likes to cozy up on. At the foot of the bed, Kelley Carter has incorporated a textile from her travels: fabric from the Philippines that adds a vibrant display to the bed. The patterned textile is filled with meaning, a reflection of Kelley’s own Filipino heritage.
This sophisticated living room uses the graceful curve of an arc lamp and armchairs with rounded edges to soften its crisp, clean vertical and horizontal lines. Surrounded by white and pale gray, the black of the television becomes a striking visual statement.
To create continuity between this home’s traditional exterior and its interiors, the designers added classic architectural details such as trim and coffered ceilings. Yellow accents are a fun pop of color here in the living room.
