Beadboard walls and ceilings, an antique white stove and butcher block countertops all add country charm and character to this galley kitchen. Open shelving encourages minimalism in the kitchen since too many items on display can looked cluttered. Here, pretty glass jars filled with grains and a framed black-and-white photo look perfectly styled and organized.
A wide shot of the home's exterior shows the magnificent features of the backyard. A wrap-around porch accommodates a dining area and outdoor kitchen, glass walls create seamless transitions from outdoor to indoor, and a deep porch overhang provides shade and blocks sunlight from heating interior spaces. The lounge area by the pool is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing.
"H" stands for Harper, and this glam, modern space for Tiffani Thiessen's daughter features fun, girly pillows that dress up the bed and bring a punch of pink to the all-white room. White Roman shades disappear against the walls, creating a clean look while still serving to block light for sleeping. A glass pendant adds another fun, glamour-girl touch.
As seen on HGTV's Cousins Undercover, the newly remodeled kitchen of the Weber family home features an open concept with the old wall removed that separated the kitchen and dining room. The new kitchen has new cabinets, new kitchen appliances, new kitchen island with butcher block top and a new 12-foot glass door leading out to the new deck. (after)
The homeowners wanted a unique dining room space that would comfortably seat ten, so designers used natural light and materials that would help make the area feel both stylish and open. Natural light flows into the space from the sliding glass doors and reflects off the white walls, while the glass top table helps the light to permeate the space rather than blocking it. Around the large glass top table, ten contemporary chairs clad in copper colored leather provide seating for the guests, while brightly colored art adds color to the space and an interesting light fixture ties the room together.
Brown mosaic tile serves as a springboard for this bathroom's casual-chic design sensibility, while twin mirrors visually widen the space. The guest bathroom, from the 2012 HGTV Green Home, has beautifully finished wood cabinets and floors to warm up the room and red accents add a bright pop of color against white walls. The signature tile is a frosted glass micro-block in a tortoise shell-inspired shade. The upper-floor space also features interior windows opening to the adjacent tairwell.
The design goal in the family room was to maximize seating using stylish and comfortable pieces, so designers set up the main seating area with a custom, gray velvet sofa, a pair of velvet, pin-stripe wingback chairs and a par of wood framed swivel chairs. For a punch of pattern, they layered a zebra print cowhide rug under a brass and glass cocktail table, while a rectangular Swarovski crystal chandelier brings glam into the space without blocking the view of the city below. Finally, an element of art was added to the large TV wall with metallic gold and silver discs that perfectly finish off the design of the room.
