The inspiration for this room is a bright and vibrant piece of art the clients brought back from South America. The space bridges the taste of the husband, who loves calm neutrals, and the wife, who loves bright and vibrant color schemes. The couple is expecting their second child, so they knew it was time to make some changed to the layout of their home. They had a new "big girl" room designed for their first child, and created this beautiful, modern nursery for their soon-to-arrive second child. The space is calming and has nothing extra-only the simple, elegant necessities. The crib and changing table are white with wood trim, an ode to the simple elegance of nature. The curtains, with their heavy texture, help to block light from the space and extend floor to ceiling to help make this small nursery look larger. The chandelier is modern as well and gives the room a unique touch.
Built-in shelves stocked with books and brilliantly colored accessories provide color and storage in this girl's bedroom. The back of the shelves has been painted pale blue, same color as the upholstery on the armchair. A chartreuse loveseat on the left, and the chartreuse pillow on the chair give the room an electric pop.

As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, designer Jillian Harries has designed a space that is functional for the family. The open concept first floor allows the family to be together even when they are in separate rooms.
The inspiration for this room is the bright and vibrant piece of art in the background. The clients used to live in South America and picked this piece of art while living there. It immediately gave the color direction for the space and bridged the taste of the husband who loves calm neutral colors and the wife who loves bright and vibrant color schemes. With two adorable little girls in the house, and the parents who entertain often, this room needed to be family friendly while still having a sophisticated feel for their guests.
With the rest of the house having a more mature color palette, these rooms were meant to create an environment for the family to gather, relax, watch movies and for their two girls to play and imagine. The girls are fun-loving, creative and artistic, so the designers wanted to give them more vibrant spaces that incorporated just the right amount of color, pattern and natural textures.

What girl wouldn't love a luxury dressing room to call her own? Well, this girl now has one. To achieve this lovely little getaway, she had a second story patio enclosed and the unused space transformed into a luxe dressing room. There were only two walls in the space, so that's where the floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobes were installed for all of the homeowner's clothes. These wardrobes are all lit and lined with wallpaper, so that each and every garment and accessory is showcased and easily accessible. White Roman shades were added to this space to provide chic privacy for the homeowner.
