For this stunning bathroom, designer Candice Olson of Candice Tells All pulls out all the technology stops, including heated flooring, a steam shower and a remote-controlled toilet that features a nightlight, bidet and even a self-cleaning function. Large square tiles form the wall behind the freestanding tub adding glamorous sparkle. Candice brings character to the room by repurposing the homeowner's dresser as the vanity.
Large slabs of marble are used to create the walls inside and outside the shower. The walls around the vanity feature small square marble tiles to add texture. The luxurious bathroom has a large, walk-in shower, freestanding bathtub and contemporary double vanity.
Acid-etched glass encloses the shower and the toilet in this contemporary master bathroom, providing privacy without disrupting the room's open, airy footprint. A floor-mounted faucet fills the freestanding tub. Custom casework is light and natural, in keeping with the space's spa-like feel.
This remodel was in conjunction with a few other projects in one residence, all in preparation for the arrival of a new baby.
The shower stayed in the same place, although the plumbing was moved. The toilet was moved to the opposite wall, and the sink was moved to the center of the bathroom. A freestanding tub was then installed on the opposite wall from the shower. Classic white subway tile on the shower walls and tub wall create a clean backdrop for the geometric pattern cement floor tiles.
