A beautifully detailed wood structure includes ceiling beams, tall columns and an open stair design in this great room. A long wood-topped bar takes a slight curve in front of the floating glass shelves perfect for bottle storage. A row of wooden barstools with neutral leather seats lines the bar.
An arched, frosted glass window with ornate detail not only is a beautiful addition to the master bath, but allows light to filter through the space without hindering privacy. Thick, floating glass shelves display gorgeous pieces of glass art, and a colorful string chandelier with strands of glass dangles from above.

The Masserall's new kitchen is completely transformed with new cabinetry, appliances, wood flooring and shiplap walls as seen on HGTV Fixer Upper. A patterned tile backsplash decorates the room against sage green cabinetry and matching wood-framed vent hood. While cabinets provide concealed storage, floating wood shelves create a space for decorative open display.
Custom floating reclaimed shelves flank the farmhouse apron sink and play off the walnut kitchen island top while creating a textural contrast against the polished tile wall. Where the three vintage-style pendants now hang, there was a large wall closing off the entire kitchen. Demolishing the wall gave an opportunity to marry the two spaces and allow for bar seating.
The textured headboard in this modern black-white-and-red-all-over bedroom was designed by Charles Pavarini for the 2012 Kips Bay Decorator Show House, which benefits the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club. A mirrored wall behind the headboard dons butterfly details and echoes the look of the floating bedside shelves and mirrored ottoman at the foot of the bed.

Fixer Upper Hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines turned the once disastrous room into a bright, clean kitchen with new cabinets, wood floors, Carrera marble countertops and light gray paint with white trim. The old drop ceiling was removed, adding height to the room, and a wooden support beam was added. A subway tile backsplash, floating wood shelves and stainless steel appliances were also installed. Client Clint Harper added the finishing touches to the kitchen by making a beautiful island and vent hood out of reclaimed wood, as seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper.
"Our client knew she wanted calacatta Borghini marble for its delicate and rich veining and soft creams and greys," Kay says. "The honed finish keeps it quiet, and as it ages, the wear and tear of use make it even more beautiful." Complementing the marble, Kay also kept the kitchen light and airy, advising how these spaces come to life when strong contrasts are present. To achieve this, she juxtaposed black iron against white walls, the iron windows' vertical lines against floating horizontal shelves, dark stained oak against light counters, and the curves and mass of the custom stove hood against the conical Italian pendants. "It's all about playing opposites and creating tension," Kay advises.
Patterned, green wallpaper with a bird and floral print lines the wall behind this uniquely antique home bar. Three floating glass and brass shelves display vintage drinkware with a worn wooden table below.
Painted a dark charcoal gray that grows more mysterious as evening approaches, this fully outfitted wet bar keeps entertaining essentials close at hand while floating stainless steel shelves keep decorative items at a safe distance.
