As seen on HGTV's Flipping the Block, husband and wife team John and Whitney Spinks created a midcentury-inspired retreat in the master bedroom of their California home. Chevron curtains frame the upholstered headboard, dressing up the bed's placement in front of the window.
As seen on HGTV's Flipping the Block, sisters Anicka Marshall and Shauna Williams created a mid-century modern theme in the master bedroom of Unit A on the Block in Glendale, California. The team had subcontracted out all of the construction work and focused their time and energy on the design of the room. A neutral beige/taupe wall color created a clean background for warm-toned furnishings and accessories, with orange, gold, and bronze used as accent colors. Classic baseboard finished the walls and made the room feel crisp and fresh.
An oversized chandelier is the centerpiece of the living room, illuminating the cozy cream-colored sofa and gray armchairs. A wooden header in the doorway between the living room and kitchen visually links the two spaces.
HGTV judge Scott McGillivray pauses in the master bedroom of challenge winners and Red Team sisters Anicka Marshall and Shauna Williams, who transformed Unit A's master bedroom with rotted floors and crumbling walls into a relaxing oasis, as seen on HGTV and DIY Networks's Flipping the Block.
As seen on Beach Flip, contestants Martha and Alex removed the faded carpet from the steps and replaced it with beautiful hardwood flooring at the renovated Comfort Breeze condo. The railing and balusters were also replaced with new wood and wrought iron.
