Inspired by a 19th-century saloon interior near the home's Park City, Utah location, this richly-colored transitional space is ready for lounging. Rows of red drum-shade pendants visually lower the ceiling, creating a feel of intimacy. Traditional wingback chairs, a sectional sofa and upholstered ottomans provide ample seating for a crowd.
A rustic wall-to-wall entertainment center is the focal point in this family room. With a combination of glass-front and open shelving, the built-in unit anchors the room. A teal accent wall faces off against a hand-painted family tree with framed photos.
A sleek, dark wood entertainment center creates elegant contrast against bright white walls in this contemporary sitting room. Deep, dark brown furniture makes for a cozy and inviting sitting area that is perfect for a snuggly family movie night.
The family room extends off the open living area and the kitchen, allowing for a communal gathering area where family and friends can spend time together. The taupe wall covering balances the white and neutral tones throughout the design.
After dinner, the owners can retreat to this comfortable family room right next to the kitchen. A large entertainment center anchors the far wall and keeps a flatscreen TV positioned perfectly in front of an oversized gray sectional.
Debbie Talianko remodeled this open plan family room with the same colors and styles she used throughout the rest of the home: transitional pieces with nautical accents and an ocean-inspired color palette. Talianko added a built-in entertainment center with bookshelves and storage to house the television, books and knickknacks.
In the family room, there's plenty of space to relax and spend time together. A large, backlit TV takes front and center on the wood-look accent wall making entertainment the focus of the space, while a large sectional and two chairs gives the space plenty of seating.
The large cream colored entertainment center frames a flatscreen TV with mullion cabinets on either side, an open display shelf above, and cabinetry and drawers below. The available storage keeps the room organized and uncluttered. A pair of neutral sofas with ruffled skirt finish face in toward a distressed wood coffee table.
