The chocolate brown bed in this guest bedroom boasts an overstated basketweave texture, making the unique piece the focal point of the space. Yellow accents add an exclamation point to the room's design.
The bold red of of this arts-and-crafts home is an exclamation point to the neighborhood. Meticulous detailing with natural materials, such as the exposed beam porch and stone wall and pillars, make this a shining example of the style.
Brown wood cabinets and an island lend warmth to this sleek kitchen, while white countertops and gray walls ensure a crisp, contemporary aesthetic. A bold red dining table under a whimsical chandelier serves as the exclamation point in the room's design.
An oversized upholstered headboard makes an inviting place to read in bed. The dark wood of the bed frame contrasts with the bright yellow bedding and light hardwood floors for a sleek, chic look. A cowhide rug serves as an exclamation point in this contemporary space.
This space hosts the two Stansell boys, who share this bedroom that could also be described as their own little well-curated museum of interests. Their personalities and evidence of their adventures are proudly displayed around their room. If you look closely you’ll spy that at least one of the boys is a budding chef. They also have a small family of hamsters between them, and they love yellow tractors. The boys’ room is a really good example of how I approach kids' spaces: always go monochromatic with walls and bedding. Between their toys, books, art, rugs, etc. there will be plenty of opportunity for stimulation/adding interest without becoming too busy. My fave in the room? The drapes are perfectly appointed: they look fun and put an exclamation point on the entire space.
