The shower is an important part of the design of this modern bathroom. To make the room seem larger, designer Brooke Arciniega took the tile all the way to the ceiling, incorporated all-glass shower walls and kept a window to let in natural light.
That thoughtful landscaping extends to the back of the house, where stone retaining walls, a raised patio and a pergola provide depth and dimension. An iron gate surrounds the space for additional privacy.
The gray and white color palette in this contemporary master bath gives the room a clean, airy feeling. A frameless glass enclosure keeps the streamlined shower in view, and white subway tile is accented by gray mosaic tile on the floor and inside a functional niche. White marble surrounds the shower, and floor tile is laid in a tight herringbone pattern for added interest.
A vast enclosed porch feels like it's part of the backyard with expansive windows that extend overhead. For coziness, there's a fireplace. Striped, cushy ottomans can be plunked down anywhere for extra seating.
