To bring an interesting focal point to the guest bedroom, Pineapple House designers made a window seat and/or daybed in an oversized dormer window. The windows were so high that steps were added for access to the perch. Panels across the bottom of the built-in are created via thumbtacks into the upholstered base.
This rustic loft guest bedroom features a wrought iron and reclaimed wood bed with southwestern print linens, knotty pine paneled ceiling and walls, and a dormer window that is utilized as a cozy reading nook.
This great room takes advantage of a great lake view through oversize sliding glass doors. It includes a large blue sectional sofa centered on an in-wall fireplace, and the high ceiling includes dormer windows for additional natural light.
For a dorm room with a large number of windows, create privacy and preserve wall space by hanging a favorite print in the window using removable adhesive strips. Small potted succulents, hung or sitting in the window sill, bring life and additional color to the room.
