The bar in this Mexican-inspired restaurant wraps around to an exposed kitchen area, where guests can casually dine and watch the chefs in action. The same leather-upholstered dining chairs used throughout the restaurant line this dining bar for a cohesive design.
Rustic touches like a wood chandelier and wildlife statues accent this modern bar and dining area. The custom glass bar is clad in Bettiger photo art and the front was created with a 3 form resin for a textured look.
With built-in wine storage and a flat-screen TV, this dining and bar area is perfect for entertaining. The same dark granite used on the kitchen island surrounds the TV, tying the entire space together.
Brown wicker chairs are placed along a black countertop, creating a stylish yet casual outdoor dining setting. Wood tiles transition the patio to the pebbled section with natural rock water fountains. A collection of succulents adds color and texture to finish the design.
A custom built-in provides storage while doubling as a bar and buffet for this dining room. Sconces provide mood and ambient lighting, while the mirror reflects the dining room, creating the illusion of an even larger space.
A sleek silver bar cart sits opposite the dining table, allowing for easy access to drinks and utensils. Meanwhile, overhead, a large rectangular mirror visually expands the room and makes the space seem even more grand.
Many of the residential properties on this lake have a boat dock. The Houghtons bought two lots, making room for a boat dock AND a second "party deck" (this was their wish, in two words!). So HGID designed this as a floating lounge, literally - comfy upholstered seating areas with a huge TV, swimming dock (they're wake boarding fanatics) and wet bar complete with a kegerator (they're fanatical for beer). Everything is upholstered in Sunbrella, including the outdoor drapery, which all gets a heavy hose-down in advance of every visit. The couple and their guests can nap, lounge, party and relax there. We're told the lake is a jet ski drag strip on the weekends, so good spectator seating!
Communal tables and bar tables with stools -- different types of seating areas -- create a space that's nuanced and interesting. The open kitchen clad in white subway tiles feels like a diner; the antique-style restaurant sign is a fun, antique element in the space. The resulting feel is both homey and modern.
Imagine the dinner party possibilities in this stunning dining room that features a well-stocked bar and gorgeous patterned hardwood flooring. The wine rack behind the bar becomes a dynamic part of the decor.
Another casual dining spot includes a bar area that borders one wall and a ceiling fan to keep the breeze blowing when temperatures climb. Saltillo tile floors and the thatched roof maintain a sense of continuity throughout the rooms of the home.
The curtain-less windows across these dining room walls provide a bright space. The long wooden dining table has many cushioned seats perfect for entertaining. A wet bar and ample countertop make entertaining and serving easy.
This intimate dining room is situated just off the kitchen and near the wet bar so friends and family can use it for casual meals and game nights. The space is distinguished by columns at each corner that support a decorative ceiling niche. The home has a larger formal dining room, as well.
