The second story of this family library features a decorative domed ceiling. Intricately patterned wrought-iron rails on the multi-sided balcony offer a view of the floor below, while elaborate millwork surrounds and encloses rows of built-in bookshelves.
This Mediterranean foyer features a gorgeous dome ceiling with wood paneling and a pendant light fixture. Neutral marble tiles are paired with brown mosaic tiles to create a floor design, while decorative wood panels and sconce lighting finish off the look of the space.
In a round foyer with a stone floor and faux painted dome ceiling, designer Judy Hodgens used a modern leopard print bench and petite bronze sculpture. The space, which was 12 feet in diameter in the 1928 home, was decorated for a Historic Macon Design House in Georgia.
