This cozy settee was chosen by the homeowners to be a comfortable spot for reading to their daughters. Bought at Crate and Barrel, designer Stephanie Rossi customized it with pale linen upholstery and a wide central stripe of dark purple wool.
This sunny nook becomes a high-style breakfast space with a custom sofa that fits perfectly in its corner location. White slipcover-style upholstery allows a row of colorful pillows to pop in the space, while an eclectic mix of chairs complements the home's boho chic aesthetic.
This custom closet features loads of bells and whistles, including a center island with specialized storage, built-in seating and an artful blown glass chandelier. A delicate pink settee takes advantage of a sunny waterside spot.
Aqua-colored silk window treatments set the stage for this eclectic study. Two-tiered book tables, a tufted settee, custom-finished executive desk, floating shelves and original art establish a study with staying power.
Bold draperies and a peacock blue sofa create an eye-catching vignette in this modern breakfast nook. A tufted velvet settee has a curved design that hugs the oval dining table, and three klismos chairs on the opposite side continue that custom fit without blocking the view. A collection of similarly framed prints adds interest on the walls.
This custom built-in settee resides in a space typically slated for bookcases. Since we had enough storage and this is an entertaining family: why not more seating? I also imagined this corner being the perfect spot to curl up with a good book, with a cozy fire going and a fave snack. I specified this piece be upholstered in white to blend in with the walls and also not compete with the sofa.
The wall color in this dining room, Night Owl by Sherwin Williams, creates an ideal backdrop for more of Angela's original paintings. The triptych, painted on custom-made wood panels, sets the mood for the entire space. Each of the dining elements outside of the artwork are all classic design staples. The Verner Panton chairs and the upholstered settee not only makes for comfortable seating, but for an approachable dining experience in a typically formal space.
