Large mirrors in the living room help to make the space feel like it continues in width and allow light to bounce through the room. "I am still in awe of the giant mirrors in the living room and how they transformed that room for the better," says designer Susana Simponpietri.
A custom mirrored focal wall houses a built-in ultra-thin flat-screen television in this contemporary bedroom. The mirrored wall plays up the soft neutral color palette in the room, making the space feel fresh and airy.
Inspired by the Blue Hare above the mantel, a color scheme of burnt orange and light blue decorates the room. A duo of custom-made mirrors works to brighten up the space by reflecting the natural light.
You would never know that this fabulous walk-in closet was created from an outdoor storage room. An exterior door and window were closed and removed to allow space for custom built-in shelving, providing ample room for clothing, shoes and jewelry. The custom-designed full-length mirror and the sconces flanking it stand out in front of the horizontal striped wallpaper. Nicole Norris, ASID, NCIDQ, is responsible for the dressing room design in this North Carolina home.
A fun addition to this timeless bathroom is the custom mirror above a large trough sink. It provides a shelf for toiletries and has two cut outs for old-fashioned Mason jars that are perfect places to store toothbrushes.
Designer Kim Lewis added the large 9' window to the space to make the bathroom that much brighter. To keep from covering it up with a traditional mirror, Lewis used a barn door track, providing flexibility in placement, so it never hinders the view of the incredible Southern California landscape just outside.
This guest room offers visitors all kinds of conveniences and comforts. A Henredon desk and chair provide the perfect spot for doing some light work, while a custom mirror and custom drapes add extra flair.

But the upside of such a monumental task is the beauty of having exactly what you want once it’s all over. In the master bathroom that means a vanity fit for a palace, featuring custom made mirrors and wrap-around marble counters along with Moroccan-inspired metallics.
Adjacent to the dining area is a feature wall dedicated to a custom art piece that extends beyond the borders of the canvas. This piece by Fabio Mesa creates a unique accent and pop of color in the space. An acrylic base provides a modern transparency with the perfect shade of blue. A custom console table below was designed in a mirror finish to further reflect the painting and not detract from it.
