Because the front door opens into the main living space of this 600-square-foot home, designer Gail Fedela custom-designed a slim entertainment console that wouldn’t obstruct the entryway. Hardwood flooring and neutral walls unify the compact, family-friendly spaces.
Designer Angelica Henry cleverly designed the media area in this mod living room to be integrated with other high-end furnishings. She mounted a large screen television on a far wall opposite the sectional and balanced it with a long console cabinet faced in charcoal, soft gray and white. Now family and guests can tune in without disturbing the lovely ambiance of the room.
A cluster of white spheres appears to float over the sumptuous contemporary furnishings that are upholstered in shades of gray and taupe, while accent pillows and accessories add splashes of vibrant color. The design of a custom-built media console with an angled veneer surface hides exposed seams and creates visual interest in the room.
