A white desk and matching tulip chair create a dedicated study area in this teen bedroom. Robin's-egg-blue walls are a vibrant backdrop for the white furniture and desk accessories. A custom-made bulletin board lends a tropical vibe with its bamboo frame and grass-cloth surface.
Yellow striped walls create a lively background for bursts of red, green and blue decor. An elegant bed crown sweeps over a small white daybed. Red and white striped bedding and a matching ottoman complement the striped pattern of the yellow walls. A small upholstered chair made from the same fabric as the bed crown serves as comfortable seating for both humans and dolls.

This tractor-style garden scooter is a customer favorite from Gardener's Supply Co. It comes in red, green or blue.
The grand entry highlights the gorgeous cobalt blue that is seen throughout the restaurant. The glass bubble curtain wall helps to keep the hostess stand private while still allowing guests to sneak a peak at what awaits them in the dining room. The finishing touch in the space is the custom made chandelier from Portugal that adds a little touch of pizzaz to an already elegant space.
The living room needed fun, durable seating to accommodate the family's teenage son and his friends, so designers added a tough, blue sectional and faux green leather ottoman that doubles as a coffee table. To provide display shelves, shelves were built into the half-wall separating the kitchen and dining room from the living room. These shelves are made of dark, rich wood, which, along with the white walls, ties this space into the rest of this family's 1920s Spanish home.
As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, this once dark and dated living room is now a bright, open space that pops with bright turquoise and blue accents. A dividing wall that once separated the living and dining rooms was removed to create a seamless, open room perfect for entertaining. Sarah also added a custom-made plate rail around the room's perimeter and plenty of extra seating for guests.
A custom designed table made from Italian porcelain flooring with a glass tile inlay is flanked by comfortable metal dining chairs with striped blue cushions in this outdoor dining area. So many elements of this bunk room design are just awesome. The wavy wallpaper on the back wall is really fun and gives the room an underwater effect. Rope ladders provide access to upper bunks; the turquoise rope coordinates perfectly with the wallpaper and oak steps were custom fabricated. For storage, closets are on either side of the room, both with blue sliding barn doors with black hardware. The pendant light is made from pieces of plastic that attach to a frame, so it’s durable in case of kid mishap, but also resonates with the watery feel.
When specifying upholstery for a beachfront house belonging to an active family, designers Betsy Burnham and Max Humphrey of Burnham Design opted to cover all the furniture in indoor-outdoor fabric. "Every piece is done in Sunbrella fabric — even the pillows and the custom area rug underneath. Outdoor fabric was the perfect choice for this room, which is "command central" for TV-watching and game playing.” And, they note, “In terms of the furniture plan, sometimes it’s dramatic to do fewer pieces and keep the scale large of each and bold; that’s the case here. We selected the largest sectional we could fit in the space and made sure it was super deep and comfy. We paired it with a large upholstered ottoman, which serves double duty as a coffee table and great place for everyone to kick up their feet.”
