Designer Genevieve Gorder converted this former living room into a luxurious master suite with beautiful custom pieces. Antique doors imported from Morocco, a hand-carved bed from India, custom hardwood floors, and a stunning marble fireplace ground this room in a soft neutral color palette with a harmonious blend of textures.
You may never leave the master bedroom. A custom floor to ceiling wall unit houses a great refreshment area for morning and evening as well as tons of storage space. Door can cover the kitchenette when it's not in use.
The vibrant patterns on these custom pillows relate well to the pattern of the Swiss cross wall decals and the bold, yellow sconce lighting. The wall of cushions provides a place to cozy up and read or nap.
Custom floor-to-ceiling shelves make the most of the space in this modern work area. A gray chair with a matching ottoman is a comfy place to take a break, and large windows let in tons of natural light.
Storage was a priority for the homeowners, who are retired and frequently host grandchildren. Built-ins are used in almost every room, so that toys and games can be easily concealed behind the beautiful zebrawood millwork. The custom banquette set into the window is one of many throughout the home but this is the favored location for the the matriarch of the family to host her grandchildren.
Gayler Construction gave the owners the look they were after with a European-style range with built-in hood and decorative corbels. A black and tan fleur de lys-like tile backsplash added uniqueness, while custom cabinetry, custom flooring and custom millwork enhanced the room’s Old World appeal.
A custom floor-to-ceiling screen with a geometric pattern camouflages the nearby stairway and creates a more intimate setting for this living room. A soft peach wall color, a bold floral rug and colorful accent pillows add lively contrast to the simple white sofa.
Designer Rebecca Zajac prettifies the room by replacing the cabinets with a custom vanity and laying down patterned floor tiles. Black and brass metals complement the gray and give the room a warm sophistication.
To spruce up the dining room in this home, the once tiered floor was leveled out and new flooring was installed in the space. Joanna brought in a custom made table with seating for eight and added a new chandelier to play off the natural light from the windows. In the back of the space, a rustic buffet rests under three circular wall hanging planters, further updating the space. As seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper.
Simple yet stunning! This kitchen embraces clean lines and raw beauty. Modern, uniformly sized white cabinets don't catch the eye, allowing the custom-made island and hardwood floors to be the stars of the space. Pocket doors allow the room to be closed off from the rest of the house, but the large window and glass door create an airiness that will keep the space from ever feeling closed in.
This elegant powder room contains a custom mosaic floor of 24 karat glass, round onyx, and fine marble that was hand cut on the jobsite to make sure it fit perfectly. It adds an exquisite touch to an often neglected area.
