To create the custom kitchen table, designers use the bases for two vintage Saarinen Tulip table. Then, they added a reclaimed Douglas Fir top. Surrounding the table, designers brought in ten vintage Hans Wegner chairs, and for the finishing touch, a Lindsay Adelman chandelier gives the space a splash of modern design.
This stylish dining room features a table from the homeowner's mother that was refinished to fit the modern look of the space. White leather chairs are positioned around the table, while a rectangular crystal chandelier hangs above. A framed photo of a tree with red leaves adds a pop of color.
White metal chairs are from West Elm. Blue powder coated custom tables are industrial, but not cold. Kim Lewis Designs wanted to keep the color casual and simple, but inviting. The green painted base on the bench wraps around to the other banquette and the counter, so the eye has a clear path of color to follow -- all on the same plane.
This room is both a library and a dining room. It features a built-in bookcase with custom millwork, a buffet and niche for art. The look is modern with touches of Asian influence. The dining chairs are also custom and feature Lee Jofa linen velvet with brass nailheads on the back that complement the modern fixture above the table. The window-side table is the final custom piece with a gray marble top and steel base.
A large window provides a gorgeous view in this transitional dining room. Matching cabinets sit on the side walls warming the space and providing storage. A long window seat is a nice change from traditional dining room seating. Lovely rounded chairs surround the remainder of the dining table.
To ensure that the homeowners could enjoy their dining room, regardless of being in a wheelchair or prosthetics, the designers had a dining table built custom. Navy slipper chairs provide chic, yet comfortable seating, while vibrant artwork completes the stunning aesthetic.
This contemporary dining area features a custom-built table made from FSC-certified woods. The other gray dining chairs are from Minneapolis-based Blu Dot, and the painting is by Ray Becoskie. The neutral furnishings paired with pops of cool green, blue and yellow create a space that’s bright and energetic.
