A Restoration Hardware outdoor table with seating for 12 provides a chic spot to take in the view from 23 stories above Los Angeles. Custom botanicals and potted plants add a lively pop of color to this 1,200-square-foot balcony.
Every room is better with fresh flowers or the perfect green plant to add life and a little fresh air. In the case of this island’s centerpiece, I created a custom “permanent botanical." The large resin bowl (approximately 32 inches in diameter) is filled with multiple varieties of moss, green moss balls, agate, pyrite and driftwood branches to create an elevated natural arrangement. There is no limit to the possibilities and best of all, you can create this look yourself with things you love.
Inspired by the colors of an Asian botanical-print rug, warm tones and varied textures bring cozy harmony to this multi-purpose room. A grass cloth wall covering, woven shades and a suede-covered Arne Jacobsen Egg chair mix with a wool boucle daybed, custom designed for the space.
In the kitchen, designers John and Anthony used a green, botanical print wallpaper to pull touches of Hollywood elegance into the space. They then crafted a custom table that was constructed from reclaimed wood that formerly belonged to wine barrels to add visual interest. The table, paired with the neat, rustic table and chic wallpaper creates a sophisticated, comfortable space for entertaining.
