It's easy to feel as though you've stumbled into a secret garden when wandering the grounds of this mountain resort in northern Michigan. Streams, rolling lawns and cheery pops of color all create an enchanting environment.
Crystal Mountain Resort's 22 homes look out onto water features as well as colorful cottage gardens. The resort’s existing water resources, including snow plow dumps and captured run-off, supply the streams and pond, and provide irrigation and supplemental snow-making when needed.
A bonus feature of these picturesque gardens? They were designed and constructed sustainably. Water features use captured runoff and elements of the original site were repurposed throughout the landscaping.
