This bright teen girl's room features a space-saving loft bed from Rosenberry Rooms with a large workspace and corkboard below. The loft is dressed up with colorful bedding and adorned with fun, mini-lantern lights. The white chandelier with flower crystals gives the room a soft and feminine feel.
A spa-inspired ensuite glistens with glass and marble tile inlays, silestone counters, chrome fixtures and crystal vanity knobs. Sconces light either side of the large mirror that reflects an image of the glass shower. A simple iron chandelier hangs above a luxurious soaking bathtub brightened by the natural light of the window.
With contemporary style and country charm, this dining room design is quite lovely. A beautiful golden chandelier with crystal jewels adds a glamorous touch to the space complete with a casual black dining table and neutral upholstered chairs. Sliding glass barn-style doors give the option to enclose the space when entertaining.
A glistening chandelier dripping with crystals hangs delicately over the marble spa bathtub. French doors at the back of the room and on the right lead to a walk-in closet and private porch, respectively. The shower stands enclosed behind a glass door in the back left corner for privacy.
Black metal accents break up this all-white vanity area for a chic, modern look. A small air plant, a wooden ledge and wooden vanity drawers bring in natural elements for warmth and texture. The gold light fixture combines both contemporary elements, via the modern chandelier shape, and vintage charm, with the quilted crystal lights.
A large bathtub with a marble step serves as the centerpiece in this striking contemporary bathroom. The contrasting Calacatta marble and dark wood veneer create a handsome vanity, offsetting the space with modern shapes and texture. A walk-in shower with glass doors completes the spa-like atmosphere, while a shimmering chandelier with clusters of crystal beads radiates luxury.
A textured comforter, velvet headboard and draped canopy create a beautiful mix of soft texture for this bed decor. A chandelier with hanging crystal adds a soft glow over the calm, neutral tones of the design. Bright pink flowers add a fresh pop of color to catch the eye around the room.
Slip into this elegant, antique white tiled bathroom for a relaxing experience complete with an infinity edge bathtub. Bamboo wood panels line the vanity and bath area, while a stunning contemporary chandelier with dainty crystal accents hangs front he ceiling. A yellow and gray patterned wallpaper lines the vanity wall, adding a touch of color and texture to the space.
This transitional dining room is designed using clean modern furnishings with a touch of traditional style. The draperies are a classic style made more modern by the silk and velvet scroll fabric. The finishing touch to this room is the modern take on a traditional chandelier. The cut crystals in a warm muted silver-leaf finish adds the perfect glow.
A floral tile backsplash ties the black and white details together in this contemporary kitchen design. White leather chairs circle a glass dining table under the light from a stainless steel chandelier with crystal tassel center. White cabinets surrounding stainless steel appliances creates a sleek atmosphere through the room. A section of cherry-stained cabinets creates a dark pop in the design.
Lacquered walls and ceiling set a stunning scene in an elegant dining room by interior designer Suzanne Kasler. The dining table and chairs are from her own collection for Hickory Chair, while the chandelier is regal with its crystal tassels. Instead of the traditional tablescape, she used plaster geometric forms purchased at a Paris flea market. The room was in a Southeastern Designer Showhouse in Atlanta.
In this two-story sitting room, large windows have full-length drapery framing a large, elegant painting of a red dress. A low-hanging, crystal and glass chandelier is above a coffee table, pair of chairs, and ornate white sofa. The chair backs angle the opposite direction of the unique sofa for a complimentary effect, and all are placed on a brown area rug with white detail.
What was once a bedroom in a Charleston style home is now a chic, teal dressing room/closet, thanks to Nicole Norris, ASID, NCIDQ. A cheery turquoise color was chosen for the built-ins and balanced with a luxurious leopard print carpet. Other glamorous touches include a gorgeous crystal and hemp chandelier, sparkling drawer hardware, an upholstered fabric wall behind the glass shoe shelves and a custom-made full-length mirror.
Tucked behind the foyer of a meticulously modified Mediterranean home, this elegant powder room is just what the client asked for – a “pretty little jewel box” to help visitors feel pampered. The 24-square foot space was carved out of an inefficient pass-through once connecting the kitchen and dining room. The designer created an alcove to accommodate the sink area and a vanity cabinet. The jewels include faceted crystal cabinet knobs and a sparkly chandelier for just the right amount of bling.
To create this party-ready centerpiece and table, Wendy Hyde of The Shabby Nest first layered kraft paper over a neutral tablecloth and topped it with a black-and-white patterned table runner. "Balloons were tied to chandelier crystals to weigh them down and keep their place on the table," she says. "Pretty mercury-glass votives were placed between the balloons to add ambient lighting." For a personalized touch, each balloon was embellished with photographs, in this case, pictures of the anniversary couple.
“This room has some really beautiful moments: the bold, striped fireplace commands attention; the combo of zebra, white leather, mirror and crystal set against a moody black backdrop is pure Hollywood glam; simple, two-tone damask patterns add a sense of tradition and comfort that tempers the sharp lines of the very modern wall and floor patterns,” says designer Candice Olson. “However, I think this is a case of both too much and too little. Too many patterns — stripes, checks, zebra and damask — all scream for attention. Undertaking such an ambitious painted floor with very little time prevented Design Star contestants NataLee and Tashica from really finishing this room, and it shows on so many levels, from the shredded bedding to the perplexing mirror/aquarium placement in the fireplace. I would have simply let the striped fireplace graphic be the star; painted the floor white to contrast the black and yellow walls and brought in a large zebra-patterned carpet for interest in the center of the room. This duo's predictable perimeter bed placement reminds me a bit of summer camp — a little more swanky, mind you. I would like to have seen a few beds dressed as sexy daybeds positioned in the center with cocktail tables beside and a spectacular chandelier above, very LA-luxe (in much less time).”
