Double blooms adorn this favorite fragrant bloomer. This is a dwarf variety that grows 2 feet tall and up to 4 feet wide. Indoors, raise plants in terra-cotta pots to help prevent root rot. Water only when soil is dry. Bright light near a south, east or western window is ideal. For best flowering, provide a temperature difference of 10 to 15 degrees between day and night. Botanical name: Gardenia jasminoides ‘Crown Jewel’
English roses unfurl blooms packed with petals, and ‘Crown Princess Margareta’ is no exception. Plants open flowers in shades of apricot orange, with buds appearing on plants all season long. English roses make great choices for growing on arches because they’re not too rambunctious and won’t topple an arch. At the same time, the canes bear flowers along stems from the soil up, creating a blossom-covered arch. Plants grow 9 to 11 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide. Hardy in Zones 5-9.
Wide, traditional moldings with a glossy white finish add classic style in the traditional entryway of this Brooklyn townhouse. Dark-stained treads on the stairway and a dark handrail pop against the bright white trim for a crisp, pleasing contrast.
Tree trunks can develop enlarged bumps or galls. Many things can cause a gall to form: bacteria, insects, fungi or some kind of injury. A tree can have one or many galls. Arborists find that trees with many galls typically have a shorter lifespan, but the presence of a gall isn’t a tremendous cause for alarm. If you’re pruning a tree with a gall, it’s wise to sterilize pruning tools after working on the tree in case the cause is a microorganism that can spread to other healthy trees.
The large apricot flowers of 'Crown Princess Margareta' have approximately 120 petals each, arrayed in a neatly-formed rosette. The fruity Tea Rose fragrance is strong and lovely. The flowers are borne in clusters on a tall, slightly arching shrub. This is a beautiful healthy rose that is particularly winter-hardy and thrives even under tough conditions. It grows to 5 ft tall by 4 1/2 ft wide or 9 to 11 feet as a climber. (David Austin 1999, Auswinter).

Sunny yellow walls are enhanced by stunning crown molding details and large windows that bathe the room in sunlight. Comfortable seating and a pair of houseplants make the room feel cozy as well as beautiful.
If you have solid but unremarkable builder-grade cabinets, the simplest route to a high-end look is adding some height with crown molding. Interior designer Sarah Macklem of The Yellow Cape Cod tackled this project in her own kitchen with striking results.
Designers used a soothing gray-blue color and crisp white crown molding to evoke a calming environment in this neutral multiuse room. With the addition of the vintage piano and bar cart, they transformed this previously unused space into the ultimate traditional study.
With its stone facade and many-gabled roof, this custom-built estate could star in a fairy tale. The grand front entry features a pair of Gothic arches, and a tiered fountain holds court at the center of the circular cobblestone drive.
