They also made it a priority to source materials manufactured in an environmentally friendly and health-conscious manner, and to employ the talents of local craftsmen wherever possible.
The kitchen was made wide enough to accommodate two cooks and passers-through. Period-authentic light fixtures and fir flooring, to match the original flooring, were chosen to make the addition blend seamlessly with the original house.
