Former HGTV Design Star contestant Tym De Santo created this living room with a midcentury modern take. Tym's designs have grown since his appearance on the show's first season: "Surprisingly (to me) my 'minimalist' approach to design has grown to include a warmer modern feel," he says. "I am using more texture and color to highlight my interiors, and I love it!"
On season seven of HGTV Design Star, the contestants were each asked to design a yurt. Contestant Danielle's finished space has a warm, collected feel with a contemporary edge.
