The formal dining room is all distinguished elegance with subtly striped walls, a silvery ceiling and a gorgeous mauve oriental rug. This room, as do all the rooms in the penthouse, offers views out to the roof deck and New York's skyline.
A beige sectional is the neutral base in this living room on which the designers layered fun colors, patterns and textures. A navy blue leather ottoman doubles as a coffee table and the fuschia rug is a beautifully vibrant pick for the floor.
This living room uses color and pattern so elegantly: Wide stripes on the bottom half of the curtains pick up the rug's blue and lime green. The armchair fabric, accent pillows and houseplants continue the color scheme.
What was once a catch-all for old furniture is now a jewel-toned beauty of a sitting room. The rug was the jumping off point for the rich palette and is surprisingly durable, as the room is the main path to access an enclosed porch. Designers pulled the beautiful colors out to the sectional, wallpaper, pillows and window treatments.
The foundation of this beautiful home is white walls paired with wood ceilings and hardwood floors. To give a visual lift to the neutral base, the designers brought in graphic patterns via rugs and colors through artwork, accessories, even houseplants!
