The newly built, Mediterranean-style home also has a gated entry and oversized garage with extra parking. From the street, sleek iron railings give a hint to the contemporary interiors.

An al fresco dining space is sheltered from the sun by a sleek patio roof, meanwhile enjoying stunning views. The dining area, as well as a pair of modern chaise longues, overlook a contemporary swimming pool.
The wooden deck and stairs were problematic for the homeowners in terms of maintenance and also entertaining. So, it was replaced by a new stained concrete deck featuring steel railing and supporting columns to coordinate with other site elements. Designer Heather Garrett and her team increased the deck's footprint by a few feet to allow for additional seating and a convenient grilling space right off of the main living area. The new structure was designed to keep rain out of the patio below, so Garrett and her team seized the opportunity to improve the ground-level patio space by adding motorized screens, five ceiling fans, wood storage for the fire pit and an outdoor television. The aging patio slab was replaced by a new contemporary paver system and its footprint was enlarged to create more area for lounging.
This long master bedroom serves many functions for the homeowners. A fully retractable fourth wall reveals access to the homeowners' semi-private patio; a bed with plush bed linens completes the relaxation space. For a sitting area, designers brought in a gray, Contemporary sofa and clear coffee table to add a place to enjoy a good book, while a wood, Midcentury Modern desk adds an office space to the room.
An impressive stone garden wall with circular cut-out provides a backdrop for a comfortable lounge area next to this South Florida home's pool. The circular window provides a view into the garden beyond which is planted with towering bamboo, Queen palms and Mexican Fan Palms. The elevated stone patio is the perfect place for visitors to relax poolside and soak in the sun on three contemporary, mesh lounge chairs.

The contemporary design of the space keeps ornamentation to a minimum, but the family has chosen to add a geometric wall design that spruces up the space and adds a touch of flair to their otherwise neutral kitchen walls.
