Designer Matty Adler of Echelon Custom Homes hoped to give this artistic homeowner exactly what she wanted in his kitchen design plan: an inspiring dose of red and plenty of artwork to fill the space with color in between. Matty added fire-engine red appliances to match the red-and-white checkerboard backsplash then added a hand-blown Murano glass chandelier above the sink to introduce even more unique color and energy into the room.
Textured tile creates a full-wall backsplash and a lovely focal point in this transitional master bathroom built for two. Checkerboard floor tile adds interest, and its diagonal arrangement visually expands the space. The ceiling fixture is by Currey & Co.
This spa bathroom features a double sink vanity with a brown granite countertop and a checkerboard tile backsplash. A large wall mirror is framed with cabinetry, and a combination of recessed lighting and sconces illuminates the space.
Updated accessories – like this stunning gas oven, cooktop and stainless steal range hood – fit effortlessly within this classic and stylish transitional kitchen. A neutral palette throughout the cabinetry and tile backsplash allows for fun accents, like the checkerboard teapot or the black modern pulls, to excite and create a bit of a warm, country feel.
