Use eight decorative candle holders as a stand in for a traditional menorah. Use a larger, separate "Shamash" candle to light the votives each night. Position the votives on either side of the Shamash.
Make your centerpiece interactive by adding potted herbs in a farmhouse vessel to the center of the table. This will help add color and texture but also encourage guests to freshly pick any garnishes needed to help finish off their drinks or bite-sized treats.
Encourage conversation and fun and festive food consumption among your guests by adding grape kebobs and flowers inside of a vessel as a centerpiece. First, add floral foam inside of the vessel after soaking it in water. Next, add grapes to kebabs and stick them into the top of the floral foam after all flowers are in place.
Don't worry about fussy centerpieces for this informal picnic. Plop some seasonal flowers in a mason jar and scatter fall fruits, like small pears, and berries around the table. It's a little thing that adds a lot to the overall look of the table.
