This 5,000-square-foot carriage house — mainly dedicated to car storage and display — was designed to evoke the feel of a 150-year-old barn. The stone walls were erected with some of the original stones taken from walls built by farmers who previously owned the property.
To accommodate as many people as possible, designers combined the exercise space and photography studio into an expansive, communal sleeping area with space for up to 10 people. Inspired by railway sleeping cars, the double-decker, double-sized bunk beds are cozy, comfortable and private, with well-appointed interiors including reading lights and book nooks. A comfy window seat doubles as day bed, and converts to a trundle bed when needed, while deep drawers provide plenty of storage space.
Free up garage space for your car and create a catchall closet in the house. Use any hall closet, empty pantry or old computer armoire to mount wall shelves and hang hooks. Store pet food and accessories, cleaning supplies and a large container to “catch all.” Then, shut the door on clutter.
Pristine black sports cars shine in the bright and spacious set up in this modern garage. White walls keep the enclosed space light. Black cabinets and tool storage ensure that everything has its place, keeping the space organized and attractive.
The added garage adds visual interest to the home's corner lot, giving the structure personality from every side of the street. In addition to the aesthetic aspect of the construction, the garage gives the home storage for cars, bicycles, kayaks and other summer gear.
This clean-lined kitchen features polished Carrara marble countertops, blue and white laser-cut marble backsplash tiles, cabinetry with brushed white bronze hardware and beautiful glass pendants. At the end of the island, surprise! Hidden shelving for cookbooks and extra storage.
