This contemporary bathroom has an edgy masculine vibe thanks to variegated brown tile on the walls. A floating trough sink adds dimension below a sparse industrial light fixture. The faucet is mounted sideways – an unexpected twist to the design.
One of the most expensive aspects of bathroom design is plumbing. To avoid hefty plumber fees in this bathroom makeover, the existing sink and bathtub were kept in their original places, then refaced in a high-gloss shade of fire-engine red. The original faucet was replaced with a simple, classic chrome fixture.
The sink’s flumed bathroom sink spout faucet in vibrant brushed bronze has separate cross handles and a metal touch-activated drain. The open flume design of the faucet channels water into an elegant waterfall.
Though small in scale, this bathroom is big on texture. The treatment behind the vanity and in the shower mimics the look of ocean waves and so has a calming presence in the space. Meanwhile, a basin sink with two faucets allows the kiddos (or visitors) to brush their teeth together.
The walk-in shower in this transitional bathroom features a glass enclosure and beautiful gray subway tile. A single white vanity with a round vessel sink, wall-mounted faucet and framed prints complete the tranquil design.
