Designers wanted to take advantage of the abundant natural light that spills into the space from the floor to ceiling windows. To highlight this aspect of the space and create a clean, bright space, the walls were painted white to reflect the light, and white furniture was set up in the space. To add warmth, designers hung an Asian inspired wall hanging and brought in a blue and white chair to give the space a bit of personality.
Contemporary meets warmth and comfort in this open living space. Stone floors create a flow from the sunny yellow entry into the inviting living room. Shades of yellow, gold and brown are repeated throughout both spaces to create a cohesive look.
As sunlight pours into this sophisticated, modern living room, light is reflected of the white surfaces of the walls, cabinets and sofas to create a bright, light atmosphere. To give the space some color, designers added throw pillows to make the couches pop. The main feature in this living space, though, is the cushioned teal ottoman that mixes in a little traditional style with a modern twist. The ottoman not only functions as a cushy coffee table, it doubles as extra seating when the homeowners entertain.
By taking down the wall that separated the Pasquellas' kitchen from the rest of the house, John and Anthony have been able to give the family the illusion of more space. Then, the Kitchen Cousins added an accent wall directly opposite the kitchen to add some dimension to the space. The abundance of windows helps to let light into the space and contributes to the open feel of the kitchen and dining room.
Neutral, modern sling chairs provide the homeowners with comfortable seating in their living space, while natural light enters the space, giving them plenty of natural light that they can control with the elegant, striped curtains. A modern dresser adds the finishing tough to this space.
All-white walls and neutral tufted sofas keep this living space looking clean and new; fun and funky pillows can be changed out frequently or seasonally to reflect the time of year, the holiday or just your mood! Beautiful plants and flowers pop and wow in this neutral space, and the jute rug is easy to maintain.
In the home's office space, natural light is a big part of the design. A pair of double windows keeps the sunlight shining in the space, while bright accents keep it light and bright. David and Kortney were able to add visual interest to the space by mixing textures, adding a touch of personality.
Designers wanted to make sure the family had plenty of fun spaces to hang out together, so they added this fun, bright bar area. Textured wallpaper and rich wood combine with the natural light of the large windows to bring a funky, outdoor feel right into the interior space. To add even more eclectic color, designers hung bright wall plates and covered the barstools with bold fabrics to ensure that the family could enjoy this colorful space in style and comfort.
Bright, textured chairs and a mural make a hangout space the energetic spot it deserves to be for kids and teens. The modern lounge chairs and sofa table have softened and curved edges. The spiraling hoops on the chandelier are eye-catching and fit with the circular elements in the mural and seating. The room by Jo Rabaut Designs, Southface and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta was in a Southeastern Designer Showhouse.

Living by the water, the design was harmonious with a vision of crisp horizontal lines, a consistent design feature carried through the exterior to the interior.
