This dramatically eclectic dining room from designer Vanessa DeLeon has a rustic wooden table and large windows allowing natural light to fill this space. The handcrafted table by Palo Samko features his signature butterfly joinery. “In this room, the table is the show-stopper,” says DeLeon, who continued the clean, crisp look with lightweight velvet panels in dark gray on the windows. The chandelier from Currey & Company is purposefully understated.
Bold light fixtures in glass and brass bring visual interest to this airy open-plan kitchen and living room featuring neutral tones, lots of white and wood, and touches of texture and natural materials.
In this sophisticated dining room, elegant and unique lighting was realized beautifully by foregoing the usual chandelier in deference to an installation of five Regina Andrew "diesel" pendants, which add warm glowing light filtered through burnished brass chain fringe. The table accommodates 12 guests comfortably, and the grey-washed finish is both elegant and practical.
A kitchen island with built-in sink doubles as table in this kitchen. White cabinets provide plenty of places to store furniture and food. Two industrial pendant lights and an ornate brass chandelier provide lighting.
This transitional townhouse in Cherry Creek, Colo. uses soft browns and creams to create an elegant, flowing design. A window seat is paired with traditional tables and pendant lights for a casual eating spot, while the kitchen island provides another dining area. Cream upper cabinets contrast against the mocha cabinets, while a brass chandelier adds a touch of glam.
