A soothing neutral palette pairs with warm wood accents and light blue tile in this contemporary spa bathroom. A spacious double vanity features twin mirrors above, and two closets provide plenty of storage for towels and other bathroom essentials.
The living room makeover includes a more modern slate tile for the fireplace and a cedar-beam mantle with TV mounted above. A comfy overstuffed sectional in pale blue and woven jute rug help bring beachy accents to the casually modern space.
The large vanity mirror reflect a blue tile accent wall in this bathroom. The blue paired with patterned yellow roman shades add pops of vibrant color to the white and gray color scheme. A built in bathtub below a window creates a relaxing scene. A knitted stool at the vanity is centered between mirror door cabinets.
The open kitchen creates a sense of flow in the coastal-insired home designed by Debbie Talianko. Its all-white design is accented with soft shades of green and blue. Hints of color can be found on the glass tile backsplash and kitchen island countertop.
Adjacent to the dining area is a feature wall dedicated to a custom art piece that extends beyond the borders of the canvas. This piece by Fabio Mesa creates a unique accent and pop of color in the space. An acrylic base provides a modern transparency with the perfect shade of blue. A custom console table below was designed in a mirror finish to further reflect the painting and not detract from it.
In a waterfront property on the far eastern edge of Shelter Island, N.Y., architect Jack Wettling used a palette of crisp white accented with sea blue to create a relaxing master bathroom. “The colors draw in the views from the picturesque Coecles Harbor,” he says. A judicious use of high-end stone — in the marble tub surround and a narrow marble border on the wall — lends a luxe look without breaking the bank.
A stone accent wall defines the bar area and adds natural texture. Moroccan-inspired pendant lights hang at eye-level for a cozy, bohemian effect that visually lowers the ceiling height. Blue-and-white Spanish style tile sets the tone for the rest of the house and the cool-hued bar.
A bright yellow accent wall, green sofa, and blue chairs sets a fun and imaginative tone for this modern, colorful playroom. Gray carpet tiles are a kid-friendly alternative that are easy to clean and replace. The kids' drawings are framed and hung on the wall as the highlights of this play place.
Woven wicker furniture in a dark finish contrast with the light stone columns and neutral tile in this second floor, outdoor living room with a stunning view of an ocean vista. The blue fire glass in the fire table is the perfect accent color to bring a coastal feel to the space.
This Mediterranean backyard space is an adult and kid haven. This space has a swimming pool with a slide and a hot tub with a swim up bar. Blue tile and stone accents adorn the foundation and walls and a decorative pergola overlooks the pool area.
After soaking up some sun on the deck, the owners and their kids can cool off in the pool. A blue tiled accent wall with three water fountains makes the space feel even more refreshing.

A mix of plant stands add color and decoration to this bright summer porch. A tall, tile covered stand supports a sphere formed ivy while white, blue and gold stands prop up flowers that add natural color to the space. A white sectional shines against the beige walls and fun throw pillows add accent colors.
From the ping-pong table to the home bar to the theater-size movie screen, this entertainment space is ready for gatherings of any size. Facing modular sofas provide ample and comfy seating for movie viewing. A backsplash beneath the countertop of the nearby bar features patterned tile that connects the room's neutral palette with its blue accents. Fabric panels provide soundproofing throughout the space.
Designer Debbie Talianko chose subtle tones of soft blue and green to accompany this white transitional kitchen to give a nod to coastal-style design. These colors are accented on the white subway tile backsplash, and she selected a beautiful soft green marble countertop for the kitchen island. Sub-Zero, Bosch and Wolfe appliances and large pendant lighting from Restoration Hardware complete this stylish look.
This was originally a small guest bedroom that was swapped with the adjoining guest bathroom to create a new and more spacious guest bathroom. Soft, pale blue floral tiles cover the walls, a suspended Lumicor panel divides the shower area from the freestanding tub and a floating, custom concrete sink provides a beautiful sink vanity area. Crystal accented lighting, plumbing fixtures and knobs add a little sparkle to the space.
Outfitting a small room in white and reflective surfaces is a common designer strategy to lend the illusion of more space. But in this tight family bath, designer Hannah Dee of Hannah Dee Interiors used a splash of soft blue tile in another clever technique: “The accent wall brings your eye to the back of the room, broadening and lengthening the space—visually—making it feel much bigger than it really is.”
A powder room is another name for a small bathroom space with a suitable vanity, bathroom sink and mirror. It is a high traffic area where you can add a lot of style and leave your guests with a great first impression. A soft blue-green vanity, marble countertop and geometric tile accent wall, clearly states your design choices are unique and playful. If you want to try something new, you can try mixing two styles and make your own unique bathroom.
