Each section of this patio offers a new texture to the design. Glass doors open from the home open on to a smooth, stained wood deck with steps descending to the yard. Long, rectangular stepping stones are separated by uniform rows grass and create the feel of movement from the deck to the outdoor dining patio. Light neutral stone flooring compliments the neutral tone of the home exterior while a blue table umbrella adds a bold pop of color.
The raised hot tub features a double-step spillway and a custom fire element crafted with a copper bowl and channels. Mosaic tile and stone columns add color and texture to the shimmering blue pool below.
Step outside this Boston penthouse apartment and feast your eyes on the private patio area that parallels its indoor loveliness. Simply designed patio furniture in gray metal, with bright blue upholstered cushions, is a comfortable addition to the space. The designers of Haddad Hakansson used large stone tiles for the floor and added a light blue stone wall for privacy. The blue colors used throughout is an outstanding choice to blend with the glass windows and outside environment.
This patio, steps and stairs use Pennsylvania bluestone pavers at the base and steps made of crab orchard stone slabs. The tall walls are made of existing pressure-treated timbers that Atlanta-based King Landscaping incorporated into design. The border around the patio uses Pennsylvania blue stone with a thermal finish.
