On the wall in between the kitchen and dining room, midnight blue cabinetry leaps out at the eye. The cabinets provide welcome extra storage and, for entertaining, there's also a wet bar. Oven and range: Thermador
The white cabinetry and countertops richly contrast with the wooden accents seen around the oven and kitchen island. The stunning walnut wood draws the eye to the stovetop and blue glass panel backsplash.
This open-plan kitchen faces a wall of windows, allowing for plenty of natural light. The cool blue-gray of the kitchen island, topped with white marble contrasts the dark hardwood floor and by vintage-inspired hanging light fixtures with warmly colored glass shades. A stainless steel oven and convection oven are built into the white and frosted glass cabinetry, with adjacent open shelving. Through the arched doorway, a bay window is visible.
In the center of the kitchen is a waterfall island with classic marble countertop, oversized brass geometric pendants and blue faux leather stools with brass frames. The tile backsplash behind the oven is a geometric marble with metallic inlay, which creates a glamorous focal point.
In this transitional kitchen, a pale blue island houses the oven, gas cooktop and mounted range hood. Equipped with a pot rack, pot filler and extra cabinets, the full-service island is the culinary hub of this bright white kitchen.
Designer Kathleen Navarra granted the homeowners' wishes of a light, airy kitchen with crisp white cabinetry and a cerused oak island topped with marble while weaving in her trademark use of color. Navarra turned to rich chocolate tones for the grasscloth wallcovering, hardwood floor and La Cornue oven and hood and painted the ceiling with a sky blue lacquer to add depth to the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015 kitchen.
