This family wanted a space where their three boys could clean up and store their gear after a hard day’s play. Handy cubbies along this wall are equipped hanging hooks and surrounded with shelves and drawers above and below. A brick floor is decorative and low maintenance.
This kitchen is beautifully balanced with blue lower cabinets and an island paired with white upper cabinets and a clean white subway tile backsplash. Brass accents and hardwood floors bring in sunnier tones.
Two globe pendant lights add a pop of color to the gray and white color scheme of this kitchen design. Bar chairs with gray seats and a wood base blend the cool toned look of the kitchen with the warm hardwood floor. The sleek finishes and stylish large tile backsplash give a polished look to the room.
Unique, dove-shaped pendants light up this kitchen peninsula in an artful way. The modern, open-plan space features bold blue lower cabinets that stand out against the stark white walls. Organic elements like the slatted wood ceiling and tribal carvings connect the home to its wooded site.
A cork floor displays a large light blue island with a polished gray countertop in this bright, contemporary kitchen. Shades of blue and yellow subway tile on the backsplash bring pops of extra color between the white upper cabinets and blue lower cabinets. Stainless steel appliances and chairs give a modern touch.
Modern elements are everywhere in this gleaming kitchen. White upper cabinets almost completely blend into the subway tiled walls, contrasting with the eye-catching navy blue lower cabinets. Open shelves offer storage and a place to showcase treasured dishware. Concrete counters and the brass sconce and pulls add to the modern coastal vibe.
Bold blue lower cabinets draw the eye to the kitchen in this open-concept living space, creating a fun focal point. Upper cabinetry is white like the walls, resulting in an uninterrupted line that draws attention to the soaring ceiling. A traditional carpet forms a juxtaposition to the modern dining table and chairs.
This is a kitchen a chef would love, with tons of counter space and a kitchen island for preparing and gathering guests. White countertops, stools, upper cabinets and backsplash keep the space looking simple and clean, while navy blue lower cabinets and kitchen island give the kitchen a crisp, nautical feel. Globe fixtures provide tons of light and a modern touch.
This U-shaped kitchen offers a huge amount of storage below and some white upper cabinets that blend into the wall space. To keep the space clean and sleek, the ventilation hood was tucked behind a false cabinet panel. A thick, site poured concrete counter with waterfall edge was poured on site. Brass pendants and sconces complement the navy blue lower cabinets for that modern feel.
Just after the entry but before we get to the living space, is the heart of the home, our kitchen. No compromises were made in this surprisingly expansive kitchen designed by Randy Jones of Incredible Tiny Homes whose motto is "Choose Tiny, Live Free." Not only is there a stained planked wood ceiling, it also houses a full-size refrigerator, range and farmhouse sink. I’m especially drawn to the way the gray upper cabinets compliment the blue lower cabinets against the wood butcher block counters. Last but not least, the ladder takes us to the tiny home master.
