Instead of color, tiles in interesting patterns can add lots of visual interest to a space. Here, tiles in different shapes and sizes are layered to create a frame around the bathroom mirror and a stripe in the shower.
The inspiration for the room’s tile-on-tile look came from Turkish bathhouses the family visited on vacation. Sonal put oversize cream-color hex tile on the floor, and graphic cement tile from Cement Tile Shop on the wall above the vanity. “Blending patterns in different sizes and scales looks exciting,” she says. A curvy bronze-edged mirror from Uttermost and an aged-finish vanity by Cabinetcraft Custom Cabinetry clinches the bathhouse vibe.
A glass door closes off the interior wall of this shower allowing the bathroom to have a more open feel. Mixed sizes of natural tile coat the walls and floors of the shower and match the wall tile on the lower half of the bathroom walls. A white pedestal sink and white framed mirror create the vanity.
Black mosaic tile creates a beautifully masculine look in this modern bathroom. The corner structure provides a break in the tile and blends well with the neutral color of the tile floor. The rectangular white sink pops against the dark background.
A mix of different-sized tile surfaces give soothing sophistication to this bathroom. Light and dark brown mosaic tiles cover the wall of the shower. The walls in the rest of the room use pale gray large square tiles.
Graphic-patterned wallpaper lends a contemporary vibe to this spacious, elegant bathroom. Soft neutral tiles in varying sizes make up the floor and shower wall, while a deep soaker bathtub is positioned perfectly to take in the natural light.
A squared-off sink paired with a white marble countertop creates a sleek look that blends with the white-gray tile in this traditional bathroom. Sconces are by Rejuvenation Lighting, and tile is by Ann Sacks.
Rectangles of earth tone mosaic tiles bring a touch of color into this neutral bathroom. An accent wall of overlapping tiles is a stunning focal point, while also blending seamlessly with the rest of the space.
