This small bathroom features a black and white color scheme and includes a vessel sink, black towel rack, ornate black and white mirror and white plate decorations on the wall that tie the room together.
The design is in the details indeed with this modern bathroom, featuring a luxurious freestanding soaking tub, dark hardwood floors and a whimsical towel rack. Just outside the huge windows, smooth black stones are a crisp contrast to the white interior.
Positioned beside a modern armchair, a black ladder-style towel rack both creates visual contrast and provides a space to hang fresh linens. Below, a round ottoman with an agate accent glitters in the bathroom light, making the room seem all the more splendid.
The freestanding bathtub is nestled in the semi-surround of the bay window, which creates a stunning focal point in the room. A large walk-in shower features granite trim and a heated towel rack while a sleek black double vanity adds contrast to the space.
For extra storage, a toiletry and magazine rack was made from a reclaimed shipping pallet. To create the rack, a measuring tape was used to determine the proper width of the wall, then the pallet was dismantled with a crowbar, cut to size and mitered using a chop saw, then reconfigured and attached using the original nails. Black steel pipe is mounted to the bottom to keep towels neatly hung.
This contemporary shower stall, designed by Claire Paquin, displays a pure and clean aesthetic with its gray and white marble walls and clear glass door. Especially fetching is the black hexagon tile flooring that was set both inside and outside the shower stall, providing a strong focal point for the rest of the design. The chrome showerhead coordinates with the double towel rack located adjacent to the shower door.
