In this sleek East Hampton bath, designer Joe Eisner used contrasting colors and materials in his storage-rich design. He says, “the canopy over the vanity is supported by a storage tower with drawer and open shelving on the left side. The mosaic wall to the right of the vanity separates the vanity from the shower enclosure. The L-shaped shampoo shelf cutout in the mosaic wall is referenced in the L-shaped cutout cabinet pulls of the white lacquer vanity cabinet doors.”

Design challenges for this bath included incorporating a lot of storage in a relatively small bathroom, removing a drop-ceiling and integrating good lighting without the benefit of a natural light source. Two large storage towers provide plenty of space for toiletries while double sconces and recessed lighting illuminates the room.
A custom-designed, floor-to-ceiling storage tower offers a mix of open and closed storage space in this contemporary bathroom. The bottom shelves were left open for easy access to towels, while the top shelves were fitted with doors for concealing toiletries. The compact, wall-mounted floating vanity saves space but still offers extra storage and style.
On either side of the large vanity, designers upped the storage space by adding storage towers. With their elegant, dark stain, the towers not only add storage, but also add warm color, height and dimension to the space.
