To save space, install a sliding barn door. Although McNeal Walker Interiors had to purchase the sliding door system, the door was a freebie, found on the side of the road in Atlanta and repurposed for a rustic, space-saving entry to this guest bathroom.
To keep with a country feel for the home, designer Lindsay Chambers selected a barn door to hang in front of this transitional master bathroom for a punch of country as you enter the room. The door is a perfect complement to the home's overall design theme.
A large nine-foot window was replaced a small window in this master bathroom renovation to bring in light and give an unobstructed view to the yard's landscaping. A mirror was mounted on a barn door track to allow mobility of the mirror without obscuring the view outside.
Designer Kim Lewis added the large 9' window to the space to make the bathroom that much brighter. To keep from covering it up with a traditional mirror, Lewis used a barn door track, providing flexibility in placement, so it never hinders the view of the incredible Southern California landscape just outside.
