Gray Venetian plaster gives this fireplace the look of concrete finish. The fireplace serves as a natural room divider, capitalizing on the house's open floor plan. An antique gong from Borneo on the mantel and a nearby Eames chair add to the space's style.
On both sides of the home's elegant, antique fireplace and mantel, designers stacked coffee table books to add a pop of color to the space. For the finishing touch, each bench was given a white chinoiserie lamp and graphic art to complete the funky design.
Antique exposed beams above this neutral living space give the white color palette some warmth. The tapered fireplace is plastered and painted white allowing the form to become the decor of the space. Custom plated steel treads and risers were installed on the underside of the stairs for support and painted with high gloss white paint for a truly spectacular finish.
